My notes from lessons have taken many forms. I used to use Evernote. While teaching Zoom lessons I transitioned to Notion.

Now I take notes in a simple black notebook with a pencil.

I write out every students name in a list on one sheet of paper. I write them in the order of their lessons. Next to their name I write the three most important things we covered.

I just want to remind you that we have the best job in the world.

• High paying but anyone can do it.
• Works with society (not against it).
• Already in demand. Many parents already want their children to learn how to play the violin.
• Your job is scheduled. No need to make decisions about when or how your work is done. Just show up to the lesson.
• Very little shallow work overhead. Very simple to use the same administrative systems over and over for little to no shallow work.
• Infinite amount of depth– intellectual, physical, and social.
• “I am yours, don’t give myself back to me.” Rumi. Suzuki teacher requires us to be the noblest version of ourselves on a daily basis.
• We stand on the shoulders of giants.
