So many of my ambitions in 3D modeling, film making, Virtual Reality, matrix building, and world building start with writing.
I put pen to paper every day, literally.
I have been recording my thoughts on this blog since 2014.
As I put more of myself on Instagram, YouTube, and online courses, as well as building out my studio policies and mothodology, please remember that they all started with writing.
For that reason we constantly need to be getting down our ideas in written form, and then (through writing) decide the best vehicle for that idea to be delivered in. Coming up with an idea and communicating that idea well are two different skills. But both are developed by writing practices.
The ideas, which usually bubble up in the morning after quality sleep, are captured either in Morning Pages or MIQ Journaling. I then take that constellation of ideas and refine them for one off blog posts (ready for the world). Once that idea exists in its polished form it starts popping up effortlessly, when needed, in my violin lessons, conversations, and teacher training.
It almost feels llike once the ideas are externalized I can then move them around and bounce off them. I real-ize them so I can bend and twist and stretch and contradict them. I write down an idea not because it is the final expression of my thoughts, but the first.
I love having an archive (link) of my thinking. I can see how my thoughts have developed from 2014 to present. My goal is not to have the same ideas but radically different ones. I want you to be able to see my work through the prism of my logic.
That all starts with writing.
