I teach all of my lessons through Ithaca Suzuki Music Education. Students range in age from 3 to adulthood.

Drake is one of the most dedicated, passionate, and empathetic teachers that I have encountered in my career. Drake has a magical way honoring the person above the content, leaving room for students to feel seen and heard. My child has developed a growth mindset, confidence, and a deep love for the violin under Drake’s tutelage. I have personally found myself inspired to be a better parent by witnessing Drake’s open and generous ways of seeing and supporting my child in being their full authentic selves. Drake’s patience, commitment, and creativity never cease to amaze me.

Kaylen began studying violin with Drake when he was just shy of four years old, and now, three and a half years later, we couldn’t be happier. Drake is a consummate teacher and an amazing human being. They are immensely patient and skilled at working with young children. My partner and I do not have musical backgrounds and we did not have any experience with the Suzuki method before this. Yet Drake drew us into the rich, beautiful, and challenging world of the violin, and has transformed our son into a musician! We are so lucky to have Drake in our lives!

Drake is a very important person in the lives of our daughters. As their violin teacher, Drake creates learning opportunities for our girls to expand their musicianship, self discipline, and focus. That all of this big work is accomplished in a studio that mixes fun and laughter into the process makes it all the more special.
