The more I meditate on this principle the truer it feels.
You can’t become what you cannot visualize yourself becoming. And you can’t become anything you aren’t already visualizing.
If you visualize your failure, you will become that failure.
If you visualize your success, you will become your success.
Herin lies the power of affirmations and environment.
Affirmations are a deliberate affirmation of your vision. A deliberate selection of exactly what you choose to see yourself becoming.
Your environment is the gravitational pull on your psyche. Your imagination is limited to the voices and ideas in your enviornment. It is cliche, but I believe deeply true, that you are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.
The good news is that if you are aware of this law, that you can’t be what you can’t see, then you can seek out sight.
Look for your reference points. Surround youself with cues. Go to sleep every night grappling with your mind. Affix the simple picture, the picture of you succeeding at doing exactly what you intend to do.
If you can’t, figure out why. Because you can’t be what you can’t see.
